With his leg Paulo José Mendes managed to avoid a goal in the 8thth minute, when Calcoene's Maurinho Lago fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Maurinho Lago fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulo José Mendes having to interfere. Maurinho Lago who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 15thth minute tested the skills of Paulo José Mendes when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 16 played minutes Calcoene got a freekick which was hit by Dito Secco. Dorival Novaes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dino Viana, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Belmiro Amorim sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. José Maria Queiroz kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. Paulo José Mendes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Antônio Meirelles in the 31st minute. With an all-out effort, Calcoene's Paulo José Mendes threw himself towards the right post 32 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Antônio Meirelles, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Antônio Meirelles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Paulo José Mendes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Calcoene's Maurinho Lago got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Maurinho Lago in the 94th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Paulo José Mendes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 96th minute, Antônio Meirelles made a precise shot to the right of Paulo José Mendes. Real Label FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. When the referee ended the match the Calcoene players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
