Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Rogério de Moraes started the match with the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kaká Recife in the 3rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Norberto Viana saved fodder from getting behind. Rogério de Moraes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rogério de Moraes struck a weak shot in the 6th minute. Norberto Viana didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Santanna FC Clube. Norberto Viana made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kaká Recife in the 8th minute of play. 10 minutes into the match, Kaká Recife notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of fodder's Norberto Viana. Norberto Viana was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 15th minute of the game. One of fodder:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Santanna FC Clube:s goal. Luiz Fabiano Guerra placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! Kaká Recife fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Norberto Viana having to interfere. Santanna FC Clube's Kaká Recife got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Rogério de Moraes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Santanna FC Clube's supporters rose to their feet, but Rogério de Moraes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Norberto Viana breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 34 minutes, Rafael Vale mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the fodder and the Santanna FC Clube players grew even worse after the yellow card. Rafael Vale kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. In the 37th minute Kaká Recife shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Norberto Viana saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Santanna FC Clube's Rogério de Moraes got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by José Vítor Pinheiro during the 40th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 40th minute, José Vítor Pinheiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kaká Recife sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Santanna FC Clube's zone, Eriberto Vaz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Laerte Galvão came out of the goal and Eriberto Vaz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eriberto Vaz was the one to do the kick off. Rogério de Moraes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Norberto Viana having to interfere. After a rather tough play, fodder's Marcelo Toscano got a free kick in the 58th minute. Norberto Viana took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rogério de Moraes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jeferson Paranaense's late challenge caught a fodder's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jeferson Paranaense helped the player get up and apologised. Norberto Viana made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Kaká Recife sent off a good shot on target. Rogério de Moraes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rogério de Moraes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Norberto Viana tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eriberto Vaz took the ball and in the 78 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Laerte Galvão. Laerte Galvão dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. If Eriberto Vaz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 95th minute Rogério de Moraes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Norberto Viana saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match was over Santanna FC Clube could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than fodder throughout the match.
