After some careless play in the Mavedeve defense, Ademir Vergílio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Betão da Fonseca. The Mavedeve fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Betão da Fonseca should have stopped the shot. Betão da Fonseca made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kléber Paranaense in the 7th minute of play. Adrianinho Neiva scored 0-2 in the 8th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Betão da Fonseca, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ademir Vergílio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Mavedeve booed when Andercta FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sílvio Luís Fernandez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ademir Vergílio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Betão da Fonseca tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Betão da Fonseca took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ademir Vergílio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Maurício de Salles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rodrigo Queirós kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. 32 minutes into the match, Mavedeve's goal looked a bit too open when Adrianinho Neiva came free, but Betão da Fonseca reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match clock showed 35 minutes, the score became 0-3 when Ademir Vergílio sped through Mavedeve's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Betão da Fonseca. Betão da Fonseca showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jarbas de Carvalho in the 41st minute of the match. Maicon de Queiroz charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Maicon de Queiroz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 45 played minutes Mavedeve got a freekick which was hit by Maicon de Queiroz. Jarbas de Carvalho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half Andercta FC were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ademir Vergílio was the one to do the kick off. Betão da Fonseca made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ademir Vergílio in the 52nd minute of play. Betão da Fonseca made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Ademir Vergílio sent off a good shot on target. If Kléber Paranaense had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kléberson da Costa's late challenge caught a Andercta FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kléberson da Costa helped the player get up and apologised. After 60 played minutes Mavedeve got a freekick which was hit by Kléberson da Costa. The audience was convinced that Ademir Vergílio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Betão da Fonseca was relentless in the 65th minute of the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Adrianinho Neiva managed to get in a good position for a shot. Andercta FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Adrianinho Neiva was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Betão da Fonseca breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Marcos Mesquita came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Mavedeve fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcos Mesquita couldn't finish the play. Kléber Paranaense kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. In the 74th minute Marcos Mesquita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emílio Paraibano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 80 minutes of play, Andercta FC's Luan Dantas made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Betão da Fonseca was left in no man's land by his defense there! After having played for 87 minutes, Sebastião Vargas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mavedeve's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sebastião Vargas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Mavedeve's zone, Adrianinho Neiva stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Betão da Fonseca came out of the goal and Adrianinho Neiva tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luan Dantas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Betão da Fonseca made a huge save. When the final whistle sounded Andercta FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Mavedeve.
