After 20 played minutes, Mavedeve's Sebastião Vargas shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Diguinho Penha came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Mavedeve reached it. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Carlos Eduardo Pirani managed to get in a good position for a shot. Thiago futebol club's supporters rose to their feet, but Carlos Eduardo Pirani was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Betão da Fonseca breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Carlos Eduardo Pirani in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Betão da Fonseca prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Maicon de Queiroz kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. Betão da Fonseca made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amílton Medeiros in the 30th minute of play. When Thiago futebol club's Carlos Eduardo Pirani in the 33rd minute got a chance for a shot 33rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Marcos Mesquita was the one to do the kick off. 50 minutes into the game, Amílton Medeiros was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Thiago futebol club's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mavedeve the free kick. A collision led to Thiago futebol club getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Amílton Medeiros hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Leonardo Tande managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mavedeve's supporters rose to their feet, but Leonardo Tande was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Diguinho Penha breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 58 minutes, Tiaguinho de Almeida mouthed his way into the referee's book. Carlos Eduardo Pirani ran back to his position shaking his head. Carlos Eduardo Pirani was extremely unlucky when he, in the 69th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. After a defensive mix-up in Mavedeve's zone, Gerson Catarinense stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Betão da Fonseca came out of the goal and Gerson Catarinense tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Diguinho Penha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leonardo Tande in the 74th minute of the match. In the 77thth minute of the game Leonardo Tande who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Thiago futebol club's Diguinho Penha was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 78th minute, Leonardo Tande left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mavedeve fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Marcos Mesquita scored 4-0 in the 85th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Diguinho Penha, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Amílton Medeiros kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. Diguinho Penha stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marcos Mesquita's shot from short distance in the 91st minute. After a rather tough play, Thiago futebol club's Kauã Nóbrega got a free kick in the 92nd minute. Marcos Mesquita might have been able to make a better finish in the 93rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Diguinho Penha. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marcos Mesquita ran back to his position shaking his head. Mavedeve's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
