Léo de Souza ran back to his position shaking his head. Jorginho Prata made a fantastic save in the 15th minute, when Sérgio Torres sent off a good shot on target. Sérgio Torres blasted a shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jorginho Prata having to make a save. Jaime Terra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Jorginho Prata tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 32nd minute, Renan Pena hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The long shot by Simão Valladares in the 33rd minute really tested Jorginho Prata's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Valente FC's zone, Jaime Terra stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jorginho Prata came out of the goal and Jaime Terra tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 40th minute Lino Carneiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ernesto Brito saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sérgio Torres got free with Jorginho Prata in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Lino Carneiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Lino Carneiro to strike the kick off in the second half. After having played for 54 minutes, Lino Carneiro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Valente FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lino Carneiro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Léo de Souza got free with Ernesto Brito in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Jaime Terra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 60th minute Sérgio Torres shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jorginho Prata saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 77 played minutes, Toledos's Rafinha Neiva shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jorginho Prata came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Toledos reached it. Sérgio Torres fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jorginho Prata having to interfere. Jaime Terra might have been able to make a better finish in the 80th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jorginho Prata. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jaime Terra ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 95th minute Lino Carneiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ernesto Brito saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sérgio Torres hit a great freekick 97 minutes into the match.
