Spectators: 6500 (Terracing: 5400, Seating: 1100, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Renato Abreu got the match started through his kick off. Hugo Campidelis hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. In the 6th minute, Geraldo Pernambucano left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Raposo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. 14 minutes into the game, Cássio Paraense was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Raposo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC DIAS the free kick. Renato Abreu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Yuri Saraiva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, FC DIAS's Filipe França got a free kick in the 19th minute. Joel de Almeida made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Geraldo Pernambucano in the 20th minute of play. In the 31st minute, Valdir Fernandez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Raposo's Serginho Sabóia got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Raposo's zone, Filipe França stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Yuri Saraiva came out of the goal and Filipe França tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Filipe França sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of FC DIAS booed when Raposo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rômulo Vergílio didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 46 minutes, Geraldo Pernambucano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Raposo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Geraldo Pernambucano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Renato Abreu fell near the penalty area in the 47th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC DIAS's protests and gave Renato Abreu a yellow card for diving instead. Renato Abreu hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. The FC DIAS players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Raposo were winning 0-2.

When Serginho Sabóia came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Raposo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Serginho Sabóia couldn't finish the play. 56 minutes into the match, FC DIAS's goalkeeper Joel de Almeida had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Geraldo Pernambucano. Joel de Almeida took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Serginho Sabóia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Valdir Fernandez was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 67 minutes had been played. In the 67th minute, Valdir Fernandez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, FC DIAS's Christian Negri tried to score from far away in the 68th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 79th minute the ball was on its way in behind Raposo's goalkeeper Yuri Saraiva, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Raposo's Rômulo Vergílio got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Geraldo Pernambucano could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Joel de Almeida made a huge save. Renato Abreu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Filipe França fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yuri Saraiva having to interfere. The Raposo supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Raposo would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
