In the 16thth minute of the game Armando Tinoco who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Batelao's Marcinho Romero was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 19th minute, Walmir Viana got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Toninho de Alcântara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 25 minutes into the match, Batelao's goal looked a bit too open when Ademar Nogueira came free, but Marcinho Romero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
