Ronaldão de Azevedo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Joel de Almeida read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 64th minute of play. Luizinho Gaspar kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. In the 69th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC DIAS's goalkeeper Joel de Almeida, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Filipe França got free with Germano Furlan in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After having played for 74 minutes, Ronaldão de Azevedo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal.
