Faustão Couto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Jorginho Motta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Emílio Bueno could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Jorginho Motta made a huge save. When the match clock showed 28 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Emílio Bueno sped through são paulo fc's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jorginho Motta. Through an outstanding action, after 32 minutes, Jorginho Motta successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Emílio Bueno in the 34thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Jorginho Motta, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Jorginho Motta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Faustão Couto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 37th minute, Faustão Couto fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. After 40 played minutes Tocaya EC got a freekick which was hit by Wiliam Baiano. When Tocaya EC's Faustão Couto in the 46th minute got a chance for a shot 46th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye são paulo fc's goalie prevented a goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Faustão Couto made a kick off. Jorginho Motta came out of the goal in the 52nd minute to try and stop a shot by Tocaya EC's Eliseu Braga. But to his dismay, Eliseu Braga quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Faustão Couto's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jorginho Motta read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 56th minute of play. When Emílio Bueno came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Tocaya EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emílio Bueno couldn't finish the play. Frédson Fernandez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zé Augusto Bastos in the 62nd minute of play. Zé Augusto Bastos succeeded in the game's 67th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-1. Emílio Bueno sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Tocaya EC getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Wiliam Baiano hit a great ball. In the 82nd minute Wiliam Baiano suffered a foot injury and had to be helped off the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by César Recife during the 82nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 83rd minute, César Recife hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 84th minute of the match Marquinhos Alves shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jorginho Motta showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When Tocaya EC's Emílio Bueno in the 85th minute got a chance for a shot 85th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Tocaya EC's Emílio Bueno got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Eliseu Braga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jorginho Motta having to interfere. Tocaya EC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
