Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Serginho Sabóia in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Carlos Alberto Barbosa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 17 played minutes Atlético da Colina got a freekick which was hit by Silvério Zanette. After 18 played minutes, Raposo's Júlio Vasconcelos shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Carlos Alberto Barbosa came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Raposo reached it. Carlos Alberto Barbosa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Serginho Sabóia, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. After a rather tough play, Raposo's Valdir Fernandez got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Raposo's Yuri Saraiva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ademar Campidelis in the 53rd minute of play. Ademar Campidelis got his second yellow card in the match during the 55th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 56th minute, Ademar Campidelis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Geraldo Pernambucano did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-3 to the left of a surprised Carlos Alberto Barbosa 68 minutes into the match. Geraldo Pernambucano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Carlos Alberto Barbosa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Gerson Motta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 78th minute, Túlio Terra got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Hílton Hoffmann had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Júlio Vasconcelos's late challenge caught a Atlético da Colina's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Júlio Vasconcelos helped the player get up and apologised. Marcelinho Passos took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 96th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Yuri Saraiva. Raposo's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The Atlético da Colina supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Raposo's performance. The match ended with a win for Raposo.
