Ademar Campidelis started the match with the kick off. After a rather tough play, FC DIAS's Hugo Campidelis got a free kick in the 5th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ademar Campidelis in the 6th minute of play forced FC DIAS's goalkeeper Joel de Almeida to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gerson Motta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The attack was good, but when Ademar Campidelis in the 11th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Renato Abreu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marcelinho Passos's late challenge caught a FC DIAS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marcelinho Passos helped the player get up and apologised. Jorge Toscano hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Ademar Campidelis struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Joel de Almeida didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Atlético da Colina. When Renato Abreu fell near the penalty area in the 28th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC DIAS's protests and gave Renato Abreu a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Atlético da Colina booed when FC DIAS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Renato Abreu didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 30 minutes of play FC DIAS's Renato Abreu was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 30th match minute, FC DIAS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Renato Abreu to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 33 minutes, Filipe França managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC DIAS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Filipe França was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Gerson Motta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ademar Campidelis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Joel de Almeida tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Gerson Motta came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Atlético da Colina fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gerson Motta couldn't finish the play. Filipe França sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in FC DIAS reached it. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

FC DIAS's Filipe França got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 57th minute, Gerson Motta left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Atlético da Colina fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Ademar Campidelis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Joel de Almeida tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Filipe França recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 65th minute, Filipe França got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 69th minute Filipe França shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Alberto Barbosa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Filipe França had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of FC DIAS booed when Atlético da Colina was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jorge Toscano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jorge Toscano hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gerson Motta got free with Joel de Almeida in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Hugo Campidelis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 87th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC DIAS's goalkeeper Joel de Almeida, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Gerson Motta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Joel de Almeida tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Atlético da Colina's zone, Filipe França stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carlos Alberto Barbosa came out of the goal and Filipe França tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Joel de Almeida showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ademar Campidelis, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Joel de Almeida took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ademar Campidelis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
