Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. When Elivélton Meirelles came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Abico fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Elivélton Meirelles couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Dula's Giovani de Toledo got a free kick in the 16th minute. After having played for 19 minutes, Elói Rodrigues managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Dula's supporters crossed their fingers, but Elói Rodrigues was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luiz Fabiano da Silveira in the 27th minute of play forced Dula's goalkeeper Mário Gaúcho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dula's Elói Rodrigues pulled a muscle in his leg after 30 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Leonardo Mesquita charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Mário Gaúcho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luiz Fabiano da Silveira in the 48th minute of the match. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eliézer Martins was the one to do the kick off. Mário Gaúcho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luiz Fabiano da Silveira in the 53rd minute of the match. With a little luck, Dula's Mário Gaúcho got control of the ball when Edvaldo Toledo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Mário Gaúcho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raí Urbano in the 58th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luiz Fabiano da Silveira in the 60th minute of play forced Dula's goalkeeper Mário Gaúcho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 61 minutes into the match, Luiz Fabiano da Silveira had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mário Gaúcho. Dula's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luiz Fabiano da Silveira was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. A collision led to Dula getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Eliézer Martins hit a great ball. Elivélton Meirelles scored 0-2 in the 69th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mário Gaúcho, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience was convinced that Luiz Fabiano da Silveira's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mário Gaúcho was relentless in the 73rd minute of the game. Raí Urbano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Dula's Mário Gaúcho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luiz Fabiano da Silveira in the 77th minute of play. If Luiz Fabiano da Silveira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dula's Eliézer Martins got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mário Gaúcho made an important save on a dangerous shot by Elivélton Meirelles in the 84th minute. 85 minutes into the match, Dula's goal looked a bit too open when Luiz Fabiano da Silveira came free, but Mário Gaúcho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Denílson Alvarenga stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Mário Gaúcho. 0-3. Elivélton Meirelles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Mário Gaúcho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Dula's zone, Elivélton Meirelles stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mário Gaúcho came out of the goal and Elivélton Meirelles tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
