Elói Rodrigues scored 2-1 in the 23rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Robinho Linares, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jerônimo Mattos in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mário Gaúcho prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Mário Gaúcho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Osvaldinho Aparecido, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Osvaldinho Aparecido received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Mário Gaúcho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 47th match minute, Ultras E.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Osvaldinho Aparecido to maneuver through the defense. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Elói Rodrigues stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the match, Dula's goal looked a bit too open when Jerônimo Mattos came free, but Mário Gaúcho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 59th minute the ball was on its way in behind Dula's goalkeeper Mário Gaúcho, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Elói Rodrigues had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 66 played minutes Dula got a freekick which was hit by Giovani de Toledo. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Jerônimo Mattos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ultras E.C's supporters rose to their feet, but Jerônimo Mattos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mário Gaúcho breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jerônimo Mattos blasted a shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mário Gaúcho having to make a save. Dula's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-1. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Ultras E.C had played much better football throughout.
