In the 17th minute, Time da Piraporinha F.C's Alexsandro Peixoto seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Alexsandro Peixoto the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Time da Piraporinha F.C protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Alexsandro Peixoto had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In a very dangerous position, a player in Time da Piraporinha F.C fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 17th minute. Penalty! The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Patrick Favoretto was the one to do the kick off. Through an outstanding action, after 54 minutes, Elói Cruz successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. If Rodri Gol had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. GRÊMIO's Rodri Gol got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Tadeu Urbano fell near the penalty area in the 90th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Time da Piraporinha F.C's protests and gave Tadeu Urbano a yellow card for diving instead. In the 90th minute, Tadeu Urbano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Time da Piraporinha F.C's zone, Rodri Gol stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Elói Cruz came out of the goal and Rodri Gol tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
