Wilian Mendes came out of the goal and Joaquim Messias tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 8th minute, Leandro Sampaio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 9 played minutes SANTOS FOTTEBOL got a freekick which was hit by Bruno Veiga. In the 13th of the match, Leandro Sampaio tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Wilian Mendes got in the way and made a wonderful save. Tomás Capixaba took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Breno Simão, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 31 minutes into the match, Tranqueira's goal looked a bit too open when Betinho Custódio came free, but Tomás Capixaba reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Leandro Sampaio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wilian Mendes having to interfere. When Joaquim Messias came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Tranqueira fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joaquim Messias couldn't finish the play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Breno Simão was the one to do the kick off. If Leandro Sampaio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. If Joaquim Messias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Wilian Mendes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joaquim Messias in the 58th minute of play. A collision led to Tranqueira getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Simão Favoretto hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, SANTOS FOTTEBOL's Betinho Koehler got a free kick in the 64th minute. After a defensive mix-up in SANTOS FOTTEBOL's zone, Leandro Sampaio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wilian Mendes came out of the goal and Leandro Sampaio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Simão Favoretto came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Tranqueira fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Simão Favoretto couldn't finish the play. If Breno Simão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Tranqueira's Leandro Sampaio got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 99 minutes, Breno Simão managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SANTOS FOTTEBOL's supporters crossed their fingers, but Breno Simão was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. For all the effort they put into the match, the SANTOS FOTTEBOL players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Tranqueira.
