Spectators: 7368 (Terracing: 5527, Seating: 1694, VIP seats: 147) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Délio Paulista kicked off to start the match. Zeca Fantini acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 8th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Diguinho Capixaba. 14 minutes into the game, Délio Paulista cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Enio de Sena was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 16th minute, Pedrinho Novaes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 17th play minute Luís Fernando Gaspar came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Zeca Fantini. 2-1. 20 minutes into the match, Luís Fernando Gaspar notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Flamengo Castilla's Zeca Fantini. Zeca Fantini was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 29 minutes into the match, Flamengo Castilla's goal looked a bit too open when Luís Fernando Gaspar came free, but Zeca Fantini reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Attila Berkes might have been able to make a better finish in the 37th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Zeca Fantini. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Attila Berkes ran back to his position shaking his head. Luís Fernando Gaspar got in the 39th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Zeca Fantini handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Oswaldo Meira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 41st minute, one of Flamengo Castilla:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Flamengo Castilla. Zeca Fantini had in the 42ndth minute some difficulties stopping Attila Berkes's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Attila Berkes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zeca Fantini having to interfere. A hard shot 47 in the game by Luís Fernando Gaspar from a close distance when the talented Zeca Fantini managed to make a qualified save. Flamengo Castilla's players were relieved. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Luís Fernando Gaspar stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luís Fernando Gaspar in the 63rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Zeca Fantini saved Flamengo Castilla from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luís Fernando Gaspar in the 65th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Zeca Fantini prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 68thth minute of the game Luís Fernando Gaspar who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Flamengo Castilla's Zeca Fantini was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Enéas Tinoco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zeca Fantini having to interfere. 71 minutes into the match, Luís Fernando Gaspar had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Zeca Fantini. Flamengo Castilla's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luís Fernando Gaspar was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. Zeca Fantini stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Luís Fernando Gaspar's shot from short distance in the 75th minute. In the 79th minute Attila Berkes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zeca Fantini saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Luís Fernando Gaspar came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Urawa Reds FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luís Fernando Gaspar couldn't finish the play. After having played for 82 minutes, Oswaldo Meira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Urawa Reds FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Oswaldo Meira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 86 minutes into the game, Luís Fernando Gaspar cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-1. Zeca Fantini was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The supporters of Flamengo Castilla booed when Urawa Reds FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oswaldo Meira didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee ended the match the Urawa Reds FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
