The supporters of Buja FC booed when Capuaba was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos Eduardo Chaves didn't get a good kick on the ball. Raí Toscano scored 1-1 in the 17th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bebeto Alves, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Leopoldo Medeiros took the ball and in the 19 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bebeto Alves. Bebeto Alves dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Raí Toscano took the ball and in the 24 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bebeto Alves. Capuaba's Bebeto Alves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Rocha in the 29th minute of play. The Buja FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-4. Alessandro Dracena made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hugo Tinoco in the 34th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Capuaba's zone, Raí Toscano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bebeto Alves came out of the goal and Raí Toscano tried to chip the ball over his head. The crowd rose to their feet as Capuaba's Carlos Eduardo Chaves slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Alessandro Dracena. That made the score 2-4 after 42 minutes of play. Disappointed in the 2-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Alessandro Dracena made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Eduardo Chaves in the 51st minute of play. Raí Toscano in the 52ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Bebeto Alves, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Buja FC's Alessandro Dracena played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Conrado de Brito in the 56th minute of play. Bebeto Alves made a fantastic save in the 58th minute, when Raí Toscano sent off a good shot on target. After having played for 59 minutes, Cristian Rocha managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Buja FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian Rocha was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 60 minutes into the game, Conrado de Brito was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Capuaba's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Buja FC the free kick. After 60 played minutes Capuaba got a freekick which was hit by Conrado de Brito. When Buja FC's Leopoldo Medeiros in 63 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Bebeto Alves guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luan da Costa in the 66th minute of play forced Buja FC's goalkeeper Alessandro Dracena to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 87 minutes into the match, Capuaba's goalkeeper Bebeto Alves had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Raí Toscano. When Paulo José Urbano came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Buja FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Paulo José Urbano couldn't finish the play. Bebeto Alves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leopoldo Medeiros, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alessandro Dracena made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Eduardo Chaves in the 95th minute of play. In the 97th minute, Luan da Costa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice moves Raí Toscano could shoot a difficult shot in the 98th minute, which Bebeto Alves however easily saved by the left post. Buja FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
