Célio Coutinho blasted a shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without William Baptista having to make a save. In the 6th match minute, BNU FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Célio Coutinho to maneuver through the defense. In the 7th match minute, apararecida fc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Diguinho Fernandez to maneuver through the defense. Carlos Leme who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 9thth minute tested the skills of William Baptista when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Willian de Salles showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Diguinho Fernandez in the 16th minute of the match. If Carlos Leme had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 24 played minutes BNU FC got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Leme. In the 27th minute Célio Coutinho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but William Baptista saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 33rd match minute, BNU FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Célio Coutinho to maneuver through the defense. Valério Cardoso's late challenge caught a BNU FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Valério Cardoso helped the player get up and apologised. The audience thought a goal was coming when Carlos Leme got free with William Baptista in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 44th play minute Carlos Leme came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised William Baptista. 2-0. William Baptista showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Régis de Queiroz, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Régis de Queiroz to make the kick off. In the 51st minute the ball was on its way in behind apararecida fc's goalkeeper William Baptista, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Célio Coutinho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. William Baptista showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlos Leme in the 57th minute of the match. Alan Quintal hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in apararecida fc's zone, Régis de Queiroz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. William Baptista came out of the goal and Régis de Queiroz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Régis de Queiroz came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the BNU FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Régis de Queiroz couldn't finish the play. William Baptista made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Leme in the 84th minute of play. Carlos Leme fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without William Baptista having to interfere. William Baptista came out of the goal in the 91st minute to try and stop a shot by BNU FC's Célio Coutinho. But to his dismay, Célio Coutinho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. In the 96th minute BNU FC were awarded a corner. Claudinei Marques went to the cornerflag to take it. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. BNU FC had won after a very even match.
