At first the shot seemed to be simple for Fumo's Cléberson Lucas to catch but Gildo Freire was lucky. It became 1-1 after the goalkeeper had been careless and dropped the ball into goal. Renatinho da Silveira's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cléberson Lucas read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 27th minute of play. With a little luck, Fumo's Cléberson Lucas got control of the ball when Durvalino Leal tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Renatinho da Silveira made a kick off. Cléberson Lucas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Renatinho da Silveira, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Fumo's Toninho Veloso got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 63rd match minute, Furious Ball was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fernando Cosme to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Furious Ball's zone, Toninho Veloso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wilson Valadares came out of the goal and Toninho Veloso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Furious Ball's Adilson Vinhas got a free kick in the 65th minute. Durvalino Leal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 69 played minutes Fumo got a freekick which was hit by Ivo Garcia. Renatinho da Silveira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. In the 73rd minute, Durvalino Leal left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Furious Ball fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Caetano de Carvalho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Toninho Veloso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 93rd minute, Renatinho da Silveira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Many of Fumo's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Fumo may have spent more time on the ball, but Furious Ball were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
