Aníbal Torres showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dieguinho Félix in the 18th minute of the match. Conrado Dantas received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Juan Penha came out and tried to block the shot, but Conrado Dantas slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 21st minute. After having played for 25 minutes, Dieguinho Félix managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Piranhas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dieguinho Félix was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dieguinho Félix struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Aníbal Torres didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Piranhas. If Belmiro Pimenta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Dieguinho Félix's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Aníbal Torres read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. In the 33rd minute, Diguinho Coutinho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 35th minute Belmiro Pimenta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aníbal Torres saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 38th minute, Jeremias Nogueira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gláuber Sá's late challenge caught a Halcones.FC 39-XX's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gláuber Sá helped the player get up and apologised. In the 40th match minute, Piranhas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gláuber Sá to maneuver through the defense. In the 40th minute of the match Elivélton Travassos shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Juan Penha showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If Conrado Dantas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 47 minutes, Dieguinho Félix put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Aníbal Torres. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Belmiro Pimenta in the 54th minute of play forced Halcones.FC 39-XX's goalkeeper Aníbal Torres to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 55 minutes, Fausto Arantes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Halcones.FC 39-XX and the Piranhas players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 55th minute, one of Halcones.FC 39-XX:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Halcones.FC 39-XX. Renan Magalhães scored 1-2 in the 57th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Aníbal Torres, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 71 minutes, Nelsinho Negri mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Halcones.FC 39-XX and the Piranhas players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Halcones.FC 39-XX's Nelsinho Negri got a free kick in the 71st minute. Dieguinho Félix in the 72ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Aníbal Torres, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 78 minutes into the match, Percival Rodrigues notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Piranhas's Juan Penha. Juan Penha was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Belmiro Pimenta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Aníbal Torres tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Piranhas players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
