When the match clock showed 9 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Betão Mello sped through Atlético Nonato's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jairo do Nascimento. If Betão Mello had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The audience was convinced that Betão Mello's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jairo do Nascimento was relentless in the 15th minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Betão Mello in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jairo do Nascimento prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Váldson Valle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Natã Vides having to interfere. In the 22nd minute, Betão Mello got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience was convinced that Betão Mello's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jairo do Nascimento was relentless in the 31st minute of the game. In the 42nd minute, Betão Mello ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jairo do Nascimento was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. In the 45th match minute, Iraty Sport Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Manoel Peres to maneuver through the defense. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Váldson Valle to strike the kick off in the second half. After 62 played minutes Atlético Nonato got a freekick which was hit by Eusébio Proença. Betão Mello struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Jairo do Nascimento didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Iraty Sport Club. Atlético Nonato's defense didn't have a chance, in the 65th minute, when Magno Paraibano scored to the left of an out of position Jairo do Nascimento, making the score, 0-3. Jairo do Nascimento made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Geovanni Sampaio in the 70th minute of play. Geovanni Sampaio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jairo do Nascimento having to interfere. Geovanni Sampaio blasted a shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jairo do Nascimento having to make a save. After a defensive mix-up in Atlético Nonato's zone, Geovanni Sampaio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jairo do Nascimento came out of the goal and Geovanni Sampaio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Betão Mello fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jairo do Nascimento having to interfere.
