The audience thought a goal was coming when Evaristo Maciel got free with Jorginho Barbosa in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 21 minutes into the match, Ca o Du's goal looked a bit too open when Alexandre Santana came free, but Jorginho Barbosa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tiago Cosme kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. In the 25th minute, Tarcisio Cruz sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Ca o Du's Jorginho Barbosa didn't even have to move. Cícero de Amaral scored 1-1 in the 47th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dorival Arruda, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

When Alexandre Santana came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the GALÁTICOS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alexandre Santana couldn't finish the play.
