Iraty Sport Club's Betão Mello was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 14th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Angelo Recife hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. In the 18th minute, Bruninho Guedes sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Iraty Sport Club's Natã Vides didn't even have to move. Geovanni Sampaio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Felippe Rodrigues having to interfere. Felippe Rodrigues came out of the goal in the 23rd minute to try and stop a shot by Iraty Sport Club's Geovanni Sampaio. But to his dismay, Geovanni Sampaio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Natã Vides showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dida Loyola in the 35th minute of the match. If Magno Paraibano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Délio Urbano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 43rd minute, Magno Paraibano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Geovanni Sampaio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but Felippe Rodrigues made a huge save. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Betão Mello stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Geovanni Sampaio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Felippe Rodrigues tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With his leg Natã Vides managed to avoid a goal in the 57thth minute, when BAHIA's Richard Dionísio fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dida Loyola in the 64th minute of play forced Iraty Sport Club's goalkeeper Natã Vides to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of BAHIA booed when Iraty Sport Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Magno Paraibano didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the last second Natã Vides throw himself and got hold of the ball when Dida Loyola in the 71stth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Délio Urbano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Felippe Rodrigues having to interfere. Betão Mello took the ball and in the 77 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Felippe Rodrigues. Felippe Rodrigues dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. Geovanni Sampaio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Felippe Rodrigues showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Christian Novaes, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. Geovanni Sampaio blasted a shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Felippe Rodrigues having to make a save. In the 88th minute Délio Urbano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Felippe Rodrigues saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
