The supporters of Illuminati FC booed when Grota was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luís Fábio Matorin didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 6th minute, Víktor Macedo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Illuminati FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Víktor Macedo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Juan Antunes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 7 minutes into the match, Illuminati FC's Elói Mattos sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Juan Antunes narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 21 minutes, Raí Souto mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Illuminati FC and the Grota players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 21st minute, one of Illuminati FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Illuminati FC. Illuminati FC's Elói Mattos got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 30thth minute of the game Téo Pires who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Illuminati FC's Cafu Massa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Tomé Palmeira hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Illuminati FC's Cafu Massa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Téo Pires in the 33rd minute of play. Serafim Pinho hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. Téo Pires sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bruninho Loyola sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 1-1 became the score in the 44th minute when Víktor Macedo elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Víktor Macedo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Luís Fábio Matorin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Cafu Massa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Illuminati FC's Cafu Massa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bruninho Loyola in the 62nd minute of play. If Elói Mattos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Elói Mattos took the ball and in the 68 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Juan Antunes. Juan Antunes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Téo Pires received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Cafu Massa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cafu Massa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Téo Pires in the 75th minute of play. Cafu Massa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Téo Pires in the 77th minute of the match. When Bruninho Loyola came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Grota fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bruninho Loyola couldn't finish the play. Illuminati FC's Cafu Massa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bruninho Loyola in the 88th minute of play. The Illuminati FC players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Grota from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
