The Tigers's Geraldo Azevedo got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Victor Fantini took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Samuca Tróia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Geraldo Azevedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Victor Fantini having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Samuca Tróia in the 14th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Victor Fantini prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Victor Fantini stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Samuca Tróia's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. Geraldo Azevedo struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Victor Fantini didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for The Tigers. In the 24th match minute, CR Independente was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vítor Queirós to maneuver through the defense. Geraldo Azevedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Victor Fantini having to interfere. 29 minutes into the match, CR Independente's goal looked a bit too open when Samuca Tróia came free, but Victor Fantini reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Victor Fantini showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Samuca Tróia, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Victor Fantini came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by The Tigers's Samuca Tróia. But to his dismay, Samuca Tróia quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. CR Independente's Victor Fantini played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Samuca Tróia in the 47th minute of play. In the 48th minute the ball was on its way in behind CR Independente's goalkeeper Victor Fantini, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Samuca Tróia was the one to do the kick off. In the 54th minute of the match, Samuca Tróia tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Victor Fantini saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. When the match clock showed 56 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Geraldo Azevedo sped through CR Independente's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Victor Fantini. CR Independente's Victor Fantini played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Samuca Tróia in the 62nd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Geraldo Azevedo got free with Victor Fantini in the 66th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The crowd rose to their feet as The Tigers's Samuca Tróia slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Victor Fantini. That made the score 0-3 after 72 minutes of play. Thanks to some nice moves Geraldo Azevedo could shoot a difficult shot in the 76th minute, which Victor Fantini however easily saved by the left post. After 82 played minutes The Tigers got a freekick which was hit by Marcus Leão. After 83 played minutes The Tigers got a freekick which was hit by Geraldo Vander. Victor Fantini made an important save on a dangerous shot by Geraldo Azevedo in the 85th minute. Victor Fantini showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcus Leão in the 87th minute of the match. After having played for 92 minutes, Samuca Tróia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. The Tigers's supporters crossed their fingers, but Samuca Tróia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 94th minute, The Tigers's Samuca Tróia ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Victor Fantini. Victor Fantini yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-4. The CR Independente fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. The Tigers were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
