A hard shot 3 in the game by Elói Mattos from a close distance when the talented Dorival Arruda managed to make a qualified save. GALÁTICOS's players were relieved. If Víktor Macedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Cafu Massa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Evaristo Maciel went, in the 12th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After a rather tough play, GALÁTICOS's Dário Paiva got a free kick in the 20th minute. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 21st minute of the game. One of GALÁTICOS:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Illuminati FC:s goal. Raí Souto hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Alexandre Santana received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Cafu Massa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 30th minute Alexandre Santana shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cafu Massa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Víktor Macedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Víktor Macedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 37 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Illuminati FC! In the 39th minute there was a penalty for GALÁTICOS. Tarcisio Cruz stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Cafu Massa. 0-2. If Elói Mattos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half GALÁTICOS were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

With his leg Cafu Massa managed to avoid a goal in the 54thth minute, when GALÁTICOS's Evaristo Maciel fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Evaristo Maciel managed to get in a good position for a shot. GALÁTICOS's supporters rose to their feet, but Evaristo Maciel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cafu Massa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Elói Mattos blasted a shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dorival Arruda having to make a save. Elói Mattos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alexandre Santana in the 63rd minute of play forced Illuminati FC's goalkeeper Cafu Massa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Illuminati FC's zone, Evaristo Maciel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cafu Massa came out of the goal and Evaristo Maciel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 75th minute, André Luís Correia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 76 played minutes, Illuminati FC's Nilton Oliveira shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Dorival Arruda came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Illuminati FC reached it. After 86 minutes GALÁTICOS's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Nilton Oliveira who took care of the corner kick. Evaristo Maciel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cafu Massa having to interfere. In the 91st minute, Evaristo Maciel ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cafu Massa was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. GALÁTICOS had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
