Spectators: 6543 (Terracing: 5200, Seating: 1200, VIP seats: 143) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Vitório Miranda kicked off to start the match. The supporters of Ca o Du booed when Iguaçu Football Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. João Francisco Branco didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 7th minute Cícero de Amaral shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Enéas Tróia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 8th minute, Cícero Quadros hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ca o Du's Jorginho Barbosa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Walmyr Amorim in the 16th minute of play. Enéas Tróia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cícero de Amaral, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Iguaçu Football Club's João Francisco Branco got a free kick in the 25th minute. Guga Brasil fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Enéas Tróia having to interfere. Enéas Tróia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cícero de Amaral, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cícero de Amaral recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Guga Brasil sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Enéas Tróia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cícero de Amaral in the 41st minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cícero de Amaral in the 45th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Enéas Tróia prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 46th match minute, Iguaçu Football Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Angelo de Senna to maneuver through the defense. After 49 minutes Iguaçu Football Club's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Luiz Fabiano Furtado who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Luiz Fabiano Furtado almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Iguaçu Football Club's Enéas Tróia did a great save. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

If Cícero de Amaral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Iguaçu Football Club's zone, Guga Brasil stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Enéas Tróia came out of the goal and Guga Brasil tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 58th minute, Luís Gustavo da Fonseca hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jorginho Barbosa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Angelo de Senna, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 71st minute, Iguaçu Football Club's Vitório Miranda dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-1. If Vitório Miranda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Enéas Tróia came out of the goal in the 79th minute to try and stop a shot by Ca o Du's Guga Brasil. But to his dismay, Guga Brasil quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. In the 83rd minute, Angelo de Senna hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Walmyr Amorim sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Walmyr Amorim who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 90thth minute tested the skills of Jorginho Barbosa when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 94th minute Vitório Miranda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jorginho Barbosa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 97th minute, Cícero de Amaral managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ca o Du's supporters rose to their feet, but Cícero de Amaral was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Enéas Tróia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
