Vitório Miranda might have been able to make a better finish in the 5th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Victor Fantini. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Vitório Miranda ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 9th minute, Aírton Nóbrega hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match had gone on for 13 minutes, Vitório Miranda took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Victor Fantini to make any attempt to save it. 17 minutes into the match, CR Independente's goal looked a bit too open when Vitório Miranda came free, but Victor Fantini reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 22nd match minute, CR Independente was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aírton Nóbrega to maneuver through the defense. Vitório Miranda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. CR Independente's Victor Fantini played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vitório Miranda in the 33rd minute of play. When Walmyr Amorim came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Iguaçu Football Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Walmyr Amorim couldn't finish the play. Walmyr Amorims short, quick shot in the 44thth minute got Victor Fantini to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Victor Fantini made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vitório Miranda in the 46th minute of play.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Vitório Miranda was the one to do the kick off. After 53 minutes, Walmyr Amorim made it 3-0 with a short kick to the right side. CR Independente's Victor Fantini tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. CR Independente's Victor Fantini played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vitório Miranda in the 60th minute of play. Vitório Miranda recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Vitório Miranda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Victor Fantini showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Walmyr Amorim in the 77th minute of the match. Orlando Motta hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. In the 83rd minute Vitório Miranda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Victor Fantini saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Orlando Motta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Enéas Tróia made a fantastic save in the 85th minute, when Orlando Motta sent off a good shot on target. In the 87th minute of the match, Dalmo Mineiro tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Enéas Tróia saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 87th play minute Dalmo Mineiro came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Enéas Tróia. 3-1. Dalmo Mineiro struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Enéas Tróia didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CR Independente. Orlando Motta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Enéas Tróia having to interfere. Victor Fantini made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Walmyr Amorim in the 96th minute of play. Iguaçu Football Club were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of CR Independente for a fine match.
