In the 9th minute, Maurinho Nogueira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Edvaldo Matorin charged in rather forcefully in the 12th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Edvaldo Matorin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 12 played minutes Profana got a freekick which was hit by Edvaldo Matorin. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ernesto Galvão during the 17th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 18th match minute, Profana was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ernesto Galvão to maneuver through the defense. Gil de Barros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tostão Trancoso, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Urai AD's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tostão Trancoso stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The Profana fans cheered their team off the field, for while Urai AD had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
