Matinho's Zé Roberto Rosado proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 3rd minute of the match, managed to save Matinho from getting a goal against them. In the 7th minute, Matinho's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Rogério Arruda fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. If Juan de Amorim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zé Roberto Rosado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rogério Arruda in the 11th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Rogério Arruda managed to get in a good position for a shot. Liverpool de Salvador's supporters rose to their feet, but Rogério Arruda was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zé Roberto Rosado breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Matinho getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Caio de Almeida hit a great ball. 29 minutes into the match, Liverpool de Salvador's Gláuber Aguiar broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Juan de Amorim struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Zé Roberto Rosado didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Liverpool de Salvador. 32 minutes into the game, Caio de Almeida was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Matinho's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Liverpool de Salvador the free kick. Caio de Almeida hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. José Pedro de Godoi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Liverpool de Salvador booed when Matinho was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dráusio Sabóia didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 41 minutes, José Pedro de Godoi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Liverpool de Salvador's supporters crossed their fingers, but José Pedro de Godoi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rogério Arruda received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Zé Roberto Rosado came out and tried to block the shot, but Rogério Arruda slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 43rd minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Angelo Azevedo made the kick off in the second half. José Pedro de Godoi struck a weak shot in the 51st minute. Zé Roberto Rosado didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Liverpool de Salvador. Rogério Arruda scored 2-0 in the 53rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Zé Roberto Rosado, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Angelo Azevedo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Gláuber de Brito tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 60 minutes into the match, Angelo Azevedo dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Gláuber de Brito, 2-1. Gláuber de Brito made a fantastic save in the 65th minute, when Richard Brito sent off a good shot on target. When Juan de Amorim fell near the penalty area in the 69th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Liverpool de Salvador's protests and gave Juan de Amorim a yellow card for diving instead. Juan de Amorim kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. Gláuber de Brito made a fantastic save in the 71st minute, when Richard Brito sent off a good shot on target. Rogério Arruda scored 3-1 in the 74th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Zé Roberto Rosado, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Rogério Arruda might have been able to make a better finish in the 79th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Zé Roberto Rosado. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rogério Arruda ran back to his position shaking his head. 82 minutes into the match, Matinho's goal looked a bit too open when Rogério Arruda came free, but Zé Roberto Rosado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Matinho's Ulysses das Neves got a free kick in the 84th minute. Liverpool de Salvador's Rogério Arruda got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rogério Arruda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The Liverpool de Salvador fans' excitement grew in the 91st match minute when Liverpool de Salvador's José Pedro de Godoi looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. When the referee ended the match the Liverpool de Salvador players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
