Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Joaquim Motta in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gláuber de Brito prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Manuel Leme took the ball and in the 66 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gláuber de Brito. Gláuber de Brito dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. Dráuzio Breckenfeld was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 70th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Jacinto Catarinense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manuel Leme in the 71st minute of play forced Liverpool de Salvador's goalkeeper Gláuber de Brito to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Joaquim Motta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
