Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Genílson Paraíba got the match started through his kick off. Ponte Sumaré's Rafael Veloso got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 24 played minutes Ponte Sumaré got a freekick which was hit by José Vítor Guimarães. Bernardinho Duarte made a fantastic save in the 27th minute, when Marquinhos Donato sent off a good shot on target. Bernardinho Duarte stood somewhat misplaced when Marquinhos Donato came free in front of goal and shot 1-0 to the left of him in the 32 minute. Nicolas Almeida took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 35th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Armando Sergipano. OldSkull United's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 38 minutes into the match, Ponte Sumaré's goal looked a bit too open when Luiz Paulo Carioca came free, but Bernardinho Duarte reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marcus Gonçalves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Bernardinho Duarte tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of OldSkull United booed when Ponte Sumaré was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edmílson Leal didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bernardinho Duarte made a fantastic save in the 45th minute, when Marquinhos Donato sent off a good shot on target. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Marcus Gonçalves stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Bernardinho Duarte showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcus Gonçalves in the 52nd minute of the match. Bernardinho Duarte came out of the goal in the 53rd minute to try and stop a shot by OldSkull United's Marcus Gonçalves. But to his dismay, Marcus Gonçalves quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. If Marcus Gonçalves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Ponte Sumaré's Carlos Fernando Reis got a free kick in the 59th minute. When Marcus Gonçalves came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the OldSkull United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcus Gonçalves couldn't finish the play. Rafael Veloso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Armando Sergipano having to interfere. Genílson Paraíba sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Marquinhos Donato's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bernardinho Duarte was relentless in the 70th minute of the game. In the 74th minute of the match Sidnei Rocha shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Armando Sergipano showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Ponte Sumaré's Luís Gustavo do Vale got a free kick in the 77th minute. Bernardinho Duarte took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marquinhos Donato, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
