In the 11thth minute of the game Marcus Gonçalves who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Costinha's Baltazar Proença was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. OldSkull United's Armando Sergipano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felippe Barral in the 15th minute of play. Anísio Zanette recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Marquinhos Donato had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Anísio Zanette was the one to do the kick off. Costinha's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave OldSkull United the free kick. Rodolfo Rossi kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. With an all-out effort, OldSkull United's Baltazar Proença threw himself towards the right post 57 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Marcus Gonçalves, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Anísio Zanette scored 1-2 in the 61st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Armando Sergipano, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 66th minute of the game, Paulinho Prata landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. Evaristo do Valle charged in rather forcefully in the 66th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. OldSkull United's Marquinhos Donato got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Marquinhos Donato came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the OldSkull United fans jumped to their feet.
