In the 15th minute, Marcus Gonçalves got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Matinho fans' excitement grew in the 18th match minute when Matinho's Angelo Azevedo looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marquinhos Donato got free with Zé Roberto Rosado in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 25 minutes into the game, Marcus Gonçalves recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Zé Roberto Rosado. Marcus Gonçalves showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Evaristo do Valle managed to get in a good position for a shot. OldSkull United's supporters rose to their feet, but Evaristo do Valle was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zé Roberto Rosado breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Zé Roberto Rosado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcus Gonçalves in the 36th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcus Gonçalves in the 39th minute of play forced Matinho's goalkeeper Zé Roberto Rosado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Richard Brito managed to get in a good position for a shot. OldSkull United's Armando Sergipano proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 57th minute of the match, managed to save OldSkull United from getting a goal against them. 61 minutes into the match, Marcus Gonçalves notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Matinho's Zé Roberto Rosado. Zé Roberto Rosado was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Luiz Paulo Carioca hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. OldSkull United walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
