Spectators: 7274 (Terracing: 5457, Seating: 1673, VIP seats: 144) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Cristóvão de Souza took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 7th minute Cristóvão de Souza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Magne Vase saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Teodoro Penha kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. The goalkeeper, Elano Esteves, was totally fooled by São Thiago Matamouros's Marco de Almeida, who 14 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Cristóvão de Souza charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cristóvão de Souza the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 17th minute, Cristóvão de Souza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 20 played minutes, São Thiago Matamouros's Marco de Almeida shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Elano Esteves came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in São Thiago Matamouros reached it. With his leg Elano Esteves managed to avoid a goal in the 21stth minute, when São Thiago Matamouros's Aníbal Brodel fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Jardel Schmidt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 25 played minutes, Pindoba's Ademar de Lima shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Magne Vase came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Pindoba reached it. When the match clock showed 26 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Aníbal Brodel sped through Pindoba's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Elano Esteves. Aníbal Brodel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elano Esteves having to interfere. Cristóvão de Souza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Magne Vase tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pindoba's Elano Esteves proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save Pindoba from getting a goal against them. Aníbal Brodels short, quick shot in the 46thth minute got Elano Esteves to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. If Jardel Schmidt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Aníbal Brodel to make the kick off. Aloísio de Toledo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Aníbal Brodel might have been able to make a better finish in the 57th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Elano Esteves. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Aníbal Brodel ran back to his position shaking his head. If Giovani Paranaense had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 63rd match minute, São Thiago Matamouros was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gualter Velloso to maneuver through the defense. Ademar de Lima was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 64th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 66th minute Cristóvão de Souza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Magne Vase saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pindoba's Aloísio de Toledo has a good shot, but didn't show it this time. The shot went over the crossbar in the 72nd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Aníbal Brodel in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Elano Esteves prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Pindoba's Elano Esteves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Giovani Paranaense in the 77th minute of play. São Thiago Matamouros's Giovani Paranaense got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Elano Esteves came out of the goal in the 89th minute to try and stop a shot by São Thiago Matamouros's Aníbal Brodel. But to his dismay, Aníbal Brodel quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. In the 96th minute the ball was on its way in behind Pindoba's goalkeeper Elano Esteves, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. São Thiago Matamouros walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
