Tadeu Santos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Joaquim de Medeiros made a huge save. Rio Grande Do Sul's Davi Freire pulled a muscle in his back after 26 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Tadeu Santos charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tadeu Santos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to FC WASH FUTEBOL CLUBE getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Ernani Pena didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rio Grande Do Sul. Ernani Pena made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luizinho Teles in the 30th minute of play. Rio Grande Do Sul's Joaquim de Medeiros proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to save Rio Grande Do Sul from getting a goal against them. Joaquim de Medeiros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Danilo Linares in the 44th minute of play. Ernani Pena showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from José Nóbrega, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. Joaquim de Medeiros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Danilo Linares, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Rio Grande Do Sul's Joaquim de Medeiros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Danilo Linares in the 68th minute of play. Danilo Linares recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 75thth minute of the game Durvalino Lopez who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Rio Grande Do Sul's Joaquim de Medeiros was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Diguinho Quadros fell near the penalty area in the 79th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rio Grande Do Sul's protests and gave Diguinho Quadros a yellow card for diving instead. 78 minutes into the game, one of Rio Grande Do Sul:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Gabriel Esteves walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Durvalino Lopez took the ball and in the 82 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Joaquim de Medeiros. Joaquim de Medeiros dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Durvalino Lopez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Joaquim de Medeiros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
