No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Benedito de Queiroz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benedito de Queiroz in the 54th minute of play forced AtlânticoBBS's goalkeeper Edu Gaúcho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Diguinho Furlan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juarês Martins having to interfere. Juarês Martins took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from José Sousa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Rudado's zone, Mathias Ceresso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Juarês Martins came out of the goal and Mathias Ceresso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Diguinho Furlan came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the AtlânticoBBS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Diguinho Furlan couldn't finish the play. After some careless play in the Rudado defense, Diguinho Furlan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Juarês Martins. The Rudado fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Juarês Martins should have stopped the shot. Edu Gaúcho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benedito de Queiroz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 78 minutes into the match, Rudado's goal looked a bit too open when Jorge Toledo came free, but Juarês Martins reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
