When Gernando Passos fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vermelhinha FC's protests and gave Gernando Passos a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Vermelhinha FC's Gernando Passos got a free kick in the 12th minute. After some careless play in the Vermelhinha FC defense, Rubinho Salgado kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Wilton Recife. The Vermelhinha FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Wilton Recife should have stopped the shot. Wilton Recife made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jean Duarte in the 28th minute. Wilton Recife made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Albertinho Antunes in the 33rd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jean Duarte got free with Wilton Recife in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 35th minute, Elano Trevisan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gláuber Borges stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Vermelhinha FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Bebeto Linares in the 56th minute. A nice corner shot did that Bebeto Linares got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Genílson Freire quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Hamílton Cosme fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Genílson Freire having to interfere. Wilton Recife showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rubinho Salgado, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. 69 minutes into the match, Vermelhinha FC's goal looked a bit too open when Albertinho Antunes came free, but Wilton Recife reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Vermelhinha FC booed when Hendrikx FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Albertinho Antunes didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Albertinho Antunes fell near the penalty area in the 95th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hendrikx FC's protests and gave Albertinho Antunes a yellow card for diving instead. In the 95th minute, Albertinho Antunes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the referee ended the match the Hendrikx FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
