Adriano Koehler showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Silvinho Monteiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. After 21 minutes, Pedro do Nascimento mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Macedo Futebol e Regatas and the Super Mario ECR players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 28th minute the ball was on its way in behind Macedo Futebol e Regatas's goalkeeper Adriano Koehler, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 29 minutes of play, Super Mario ECR's Anísio Azevedo made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Adriano Koehler was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Cido Paraíba fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Macedo Futebol e Regatas's protests and gave Cido Paraíba a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Macedo Futebol e Regatas's Cido Paraíba got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Adriano Koehler didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Silvinho Monteiro went, in the 35th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Macedo Futebol e Regatas. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Pedro do Nascimento managed to get in a good position for a shot. Macedo Futebol e Regatas's supporters rose to their feet, but Pedro do Nascimento was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Paulo Renato de Queiroz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Raimundo Vianna sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 92 minutes into the match, Macedo Futebol e Regatas's Pedro do Nascimento sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Paulo Renato de Queiroz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Super Mario ECR eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
