Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) 3 minutes into the match, Marcus Simão had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of João Pedro Moraes. Gois's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Marcus Simão was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. In the 7th minute, Wilson da Cunha reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of João Pedro Moraes. The goal made the score 2-0. In the 10th minute, Maragipinho's Geovânio Rosado dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-0. A collision led to Gois getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Magno Soares hit a great ball. In the 24th match minute, Maragipinho was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jonas Silveira to maneuver through the defense. Christiano Queiroz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edmundo Braga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Gois's João Pedro Moraes got control of the ball when Jonas Silveira tried to sneak it across the goal line. Gois's Edmundo Braga got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Caio Meira made a kick off. João Pedro Moraes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Geovânio Rosado, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. When Edmundo Braga came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Gois fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edmundo Braga couldn't finish the play. Gois's Edmundo Braga got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Marcus Simão struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. João Pedro Moraes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Maragipinho. João Pedro Moraes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcus Simão, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Gois's João Pedro Moraes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vitório Alcântara in the 67th minute of play. The supporters of Maragipinho booed when Gois was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edmundo Braga didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 75 played minutes Maragipinho got a freekick which was hit by Vitório Alcântara. João Pedro Moraes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcus Simão in the 77th minute of play. 80 minutes into the match, Geovânio Rosado notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Gois's João Pedro Moraes. João Pedro Moraes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Marcus Simão blasted a shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without João Pedro Moraes having to make a save. João Pedro Moraes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Geovânio Rosado in the 88th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Maragipinho's zone, Edmundo Braga stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Christiano Queiroz came out of the goal and Edmundo Braga tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 91st match minute, Maragipinho was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vitório Alcântara to maneuver through the defense. Gois's João Pedro Moraes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Geovânio Rosado in the 95th minute of play. Maragipinho were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Gois for a fine match.
