If Guga de Godoi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Wilian Zonta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Guga de Godoi, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Wilian Zonta didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Guga de Godoi went, in the 32nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Edu Catarinense hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Agnaldo Sergipano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adalberto Félix in the 60th minute of the match. Carlos Tinoco charged in rather forcefully in the 61st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Carlos Tinoco the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 61st minute, Carlos Tinoco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Jeru SS getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Guga de Godoi hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Adalberto Félix in the 63rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Agnaldo Sergipano prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Wilian Zonta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gilson Vander in the 75th minute of play. Guga de Godoi kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. After 84 played minutes Jeru SS got a freekick which was hit by Conrado Guedes. Jeru SS's Gilson Vander got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Adalberto Félix managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dínamo Kiev's supporters rose to their feet, but Adalberto Félix was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Agnaldo Sergipano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Jeru SS walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
