In the 4th minute, Gil Tepedino ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Wilian Zonta was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Power Rangers's Mauro Machado got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gil Tepedino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Power Rangers booed when Dínamo Kiev was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luizão Braga didn't get a good kick on the ball. Norberto Campidelis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gil Tepedino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Wilian Zonta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dínamo Kiev's Wilian Zonta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ismael Mineiro in the 20th minute of play. A collision led to Dínamo Kiev getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Luizão Braga hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Dínamo Kiev's Giovanni Neiva got a free kick in the 28th minute. Wilian Zonta was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Adilson de Queiroz. In the 30th minute, Luizão Braga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 31 minutes, Walmir Branco mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Dínamo Kiev and the Power Rangers players grew even worse after the yellow card. Pedro Luiz Domingues charged in rather forcefully in the 37th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Pedro Luiz Domingues the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 43 minutes into the match, Dínamo Kiev's goalkeeper Wilian Zonta had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gil Tepedino. Gil Tepedino struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Wilian Zonta didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Power Rangers. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Adalberto Félix might have been able to make a better finish in the 52nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alberto Rezende. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Adalberto Félix ran back to his position shaking his head. 58 minutes into the match, Dínamo Kiev's goal looked a bit too open when Gil Tepedino came free, but Wilian Zonta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Power Rangers's Alberto Rezende proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save Power Rangers from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Dínamo Kiev getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Luizão Braga hit a great ball. When Norberto Campidelis came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Power Rangers fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Norberto Campidelis couldn't finish the play. After 68 played minutes Dínamo Kiev got a freekick which was hit by Zé Paulo Sena. The referee felt a red card was in order, 77 minutes into the game, when Ronaldão Braga put in a rough tackle. 76 minutes into the game, one of Dínamo Kiev:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 81st minute Gil Tepedino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilian Zonta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dínamo Kiev's Wilian Zonta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Norberto Campidelis in the 85th minute of play. Norberto Campidelis's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Wilian Zonta read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 88th minute of play. Wilian Zonta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Norberto Campidelis, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. In the 97th minute Adalberto Félix shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alberto Rezende saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Power Rangers fully deserved thier win.
