Spectators: 7183 (Terracing: 5421, Seating: 1662, VIP seats: 100) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Vira Lata F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gremio FPA the free kick. After 13 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Vira Lata F.C.! In the 19th minute, Bernardo Motta ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. In the 34th minute Felippe Couto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Luís Machado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pedro Luís Machado was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Bernardo Motta showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-0 in the 41 minute of play.

After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Allan Cardozo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Allan Cardozo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Roberto Arantes made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Juninho Aguiar in the 91st minute of play forced Vira Lata F.C.'s goalkeeper Pedro Luís Machado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Roberto Arantes made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Allan Cardozo sent off a good shot on target. After 93 played minutes Gremio FPA got a freekick which was hit by Juninho Aguiar. For all the effort they put into the match, the Vira Lata F.C. players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Gremio FPA.
