Spectators: 7212 (Terracing: 5410, Seating: 1659, VIP seats: 143) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Zeca Cosme took the kick off in the first half of the match. José Paulo Pires fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rony Godoi having to interfere. In the 9th match minute, Igarape AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luís Guilherme Loyola to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Igarape AD defense, José Paulo Pires kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rony Godoi. The Igarape AD fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rony Godoi should have stopped the shot. Avante's Válter Guedes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gugu Silva in the 22nd minute of play. In the 26th minute Betão de Sousa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Válter Guedes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gugu Silva's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Válter Guedes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 30th minute of play. Válter Guedes came out of the goal in the 34th minute to try and stop a shot by Igarape AD's Gugu Silva. But to his dismay, Gugu Silva quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Avante's Válter Guedes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Betão de Sousa in the 38th minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Betão de Sousa was the one to do the kick off. Válter Guedes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gugu Silva in the 55th minute. Betão de Sousa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gugu Silva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dadá Simão kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Avante's zone, Betão de Sousa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Válter Guedes came out of the goal and Betão de Sousa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gugu Silva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Válter Guedes having to interfere. Gugu Silvas short, quick shot in the 84thth minute got Válter Guedes to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 85 minutes into the match, Avante's goalkeeper Válter Guedes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gugu Silva. When Betão de Sousa came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Igarape AD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Betão de Sousa couldn't finish the play. If Zeca Cosme had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 94 minutes, Willian Silveira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Avante and the Igarape AD players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 95th minute there was a penalty for Igarape AD. Oséas Peres stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Válter Guedes. 1-2.
