Spectators: 6654 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1654, VIP seats: 0) flamengo's Paulinho de Salles started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Paulo Falcão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wiliam Barreto having to interfere. Wiliam Barreto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hélder Trigo in the 6th minute of play. In the 11th minute, Hélder Trigo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. flamengo's Wiliam Barreto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paulo Falcão in the 14th minute of play. 15 minutes into the game, Paulão de Queiroz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Urucum's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave flamengo the free kick. After 15 played minutes Urucum got a freekick which was hit by Paulão de Queiroz. After 17 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Urucum! If Paulo Falcão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 24 minutes into the match, Urucum's goal looked a bit too open when Paulinho de Salles came free, but Vinícius Montenegro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Paulinho de Salles recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 38 minutes into the game, flamengo's Jaime Azevedo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Vinícius Montenegro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Carlos Eduardo Oliveira charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Carlos Eduardo Oliveira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to flamengo getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Carlos Eduardo Oliveira hit a great ball. In the 45th minute, Paulo Falcão made a precise shot to the right of Wiliam Barreto. flamengo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1.

The wind increased when Paulo Falcão made the kick off in the second half. Hélder Trigo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Wiliam Barreto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sydney Barbosa's late challenge caught a Urucum's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sydney Barbosa helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to flamengo getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Sydney Barbosa hit a great ball. The attack was good, but when Paulo Falcão in the 59th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Paulinho de Salles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vinícius Montenegro having to interfere. In the 66th minute Paulinho de Salles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vinícius Montenegro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, flamengo's Maurício Teles got a free kick in the 69th minute. After having played for 90 minutes, Paulão de Queiroz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Urucum's supporters crossed their fingers, but Paulão de Queiroz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 93rd play minutes Paulo Falcão shot 3-2, a short shot which went by Wiliam Barreto and just under the crossbar into goal. flamengo's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
