Spectators: 7168 (Terracing: 5378, Seating: 1648, VIP seats: 142) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Paulo Falcão started the match with the kick off. In the 10th minute, Hélder Trigo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Urucum fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. After 15th play minutes Paulo Falcão shot 0-3, a short shot which went by Celso Souto and just under the crossbar into goal. Kaká Batista struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Vinícius Montenegro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Clube Atlético J-Five. Celso Souto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hélder Trigo in the 29th minute of the match. Luís Paulo Sena hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. When Paulo Falcão came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Urucum fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Paulo Falcão couldn't finish the play. 36 minutes into the match, Clube Atlético J-Five's goal looked a bit too open when Hélder Trigo came free, but Celso Souto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Válbson Tinoco kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Luís Paulo Sena to make the kick off. Kaká Batista received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Vinícius Montenegro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hélder Trigo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Celso Souto having to make a save. 62 minutes into the match, Urucum's Paulo Falcão sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Celso Souto narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Clube Atlético J-Five's Celso Souto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paulo Falcão in the 65th minute of play. Hélder Trigo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Celso Souto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience held their breath when Jeferson Nóbrega in the 70th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Celso Souto's left hand side. The supporters of Urucum booed when Clube Atlético J-Five was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kaká Batista didn't get a good kick on the ball. Celso Souto was a little too slow when Paulo Falcão got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 72nd minute. The score was now 0-4. When Paulão de Queiroz fell near the penalty area in the 76th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Urucum's protests and gave Paulão de Queiroz a yellow card for diving instead. After 76 played minutes Urucum got a freekick which was hit by Paulão de Queiroz. Paulo Falcão's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Celso Souto read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 79th minute of play. Celso Souto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulo Falcão in the 85th minute of play. Paulo Falcão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Celso Souto having to interfere. In the 95th minute Paulo Falcão shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Celso Souto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Urucum eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
