Spectators: 6649 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1649, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Gildo Lago got the match started through his kick off. GladiadoresFC's Diamantino Carvalho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dênis Marinho in the 8th minute of play. Diamantino Carvalho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Osvaldo Santana, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Stormbringers FC's Dinei de Lima got a free kick in the 12th minute. Gildo Lago fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Laerte Secco having to interfere. Gildo Lago recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gildo Lago did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised Laerte Secco 18 minutes into the match. Dênis Marinho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Diamantino Carvalho having to interfere. Dinei de Lima kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. In the 33rdth minute of the game Gildo Lago who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Stormbringers FC's Laerte Secco was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Tião Pombal could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Laerte Secco made a huge save. Laerte Secco made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tião Pombal in the 38th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dênis Marinho was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of Stormbringers FC booed when GladiadoresFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cícero Batista didn't get a good kick on the ball. A hard shot by Carlos Augusto Vergílio from long distance, 56 minutes into the match, got Diamantino Carvalho's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Laerte Secco stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tião Pombal's shot from short distance in the 60th minute. Dênis Marinho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Dênis Marinho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 66th match minute, GladiadoresFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cícero Batista to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Osvaldo Santana got free with Diamantino Carvalho in the 69th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Horácio Custódio hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. 78 minutes into the match, Stormbringers FC's goal looked a bit too open when Tião Pombal came free, but Laerte Secco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Diamantino Carvalho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dênis Marinho, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. Diamantino Carvalho came out of the goal in the 90th minute to try and stop a shot by Stormbringers FC's Osvaldo Santana. But to his dismay, Osvaldo Santana quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. GladiadoresFC's Diamantino Carvalho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dênis Marinho in the 95th minute of play. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
