The supporters of Indio booed when ECLESIASTES FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Diamantino Varela didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 5th minute of the game. One of ECLESIASTES FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Indio:s goal. Paulinho Arantes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Josué Cavalcante in the 10th minute of the match. If Josué Cavalcante had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Washington Valle took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oscar Godoi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Josué Cavalcante fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulinho Arantes having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Josué Cavalcante in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Paulinho Arantes saved ECLESIASTES FC from getting behind. Sandro Siqueira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Paulinho Arantes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Indio getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Valério Tavares hit a great ball. ECLESIASTES FC's Paulinho Arantes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valério Tavares in the 52nd minute of play. 62 minutes into the match, ECLESIASTES FC's goal looked a bit too open when Josué Cavalcante came free, but Paulinho Arantes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Laércio Fontes's late challenge caught a ECLESIASTES FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. When the referee ended the match the Indio players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
