With a little luck, Cafesopolis AD's Zeca Coutinho got control of the ball when Abel Fontes tried to sneak it across the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Róbson Alagoano who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 55thth minute tested the skills of Valdemar Goiano when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The aGalope! fans cheered their team off the field, for while Cafesopolis AD had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
