A collision led to Cabedelos getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Guto Favoretto hit a great ball. In the 7th minute, Sandro Ramalho made a precise shot to the right of Gilvan Lara. Cabedelos's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sandro Ramalho during the 21st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 21st minute, Sandro Ramalho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Zeca Coutinho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Norberto Lago, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 32 minutes into the match, Cafesopolis AD's goal looked a bit too open when Norberto Lago came free, but Zeca Coutinho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cafesopolis AD's Zeca Coutinho proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save Cafesopolis AD from getting a goal against them. Dorival Fernandes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Zeca Coutinho made a huge save. Dorival Fernandes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Dorival Fernandes managed to get in a good position for a shot. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fabinho Salles was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Cafesopolis AD's goalkeeper Zeca Coutinho, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Dorival Fernandes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zeca Coutinho having to interfere. In the 75th minute, Norberto Lago got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience was convinced that Norberto Lago's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Zeca Coutinho was relentless in the 78th minute of the game. Cabedelos's Dorival Fernandes got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 95th minute Norberto Lago shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zeca Coutinho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cabedelos's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
